Xiaomi Redmi 2 'Enhanced Edition' goes on sale in China from Feb 13

After the launch of the Redmi 2 in January, Xiaomi has come up with an Enhanced Edition of the Redmi 2 that will go on sale in China from tomorrow. The updated Redmi 2 will be called the Enhanced Edition because of the increase in RAM. 

There is speculation that the version of the Redmi 2 with the 2GB of RAM will be known as the Enhanced Edition,it is expected to go on sale during Xiaomi Spring Festival which takes part from February 13th through February 25th, before the Chinese New Year.

The rest of the phone's specs will remain the same including the 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. That works out to a pixel density of 312ppi. A 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 CPU is under the hood with the Adreno 306 GPU handling graphics. 

2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage is aboard after the change. A 64GB capacity microSD slot is available for those seeking more memory. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 8MP and 2MP respectively, and a 2200mAh battery powers the handset. Android 4.4.4 is pre-installed with MIUI 6 on top.
