HyperOS 2.0: Expected launch and new features

Xiaomi is preparing to release the second generation of its operating system, HyperOS 2.0, which will be based on both Android 15 and 14. This operating system is designed to run not only on smartphones and tablets, but also on smartwatches, smart home devices, and Xiaomi's electric cars.

The first version, HyperOS 1.0, was launched in October 2023, replacing the previous MIUI 14 and integrating over 200 devices into the ecosystem.

While the official release date for HyperOS 2.0 hasn't been confirmed, it's expected to launch by the end of 2024, likely in October or December. One of the first devices to receive the update will be the Redmi K70 Ultra (according to the rumors). The unveiling is expected to coincide with the launch of Xiaomi's new flagship devices, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.
