The MiJia Smart Home Kettle is an excellent example of the Internet of Things devices. This gadget allows to choose the heating temperature using only the mobile app. Let’s give a quick review of this device.
Packaging
The kettle comes cradled in a foam plastic form inside a white cardboard box. It has a high-tech design and looks adorable.
Interface, materials and control buttons
The external housing of the kettle is made of high-quality polypropylene. The inner part is made of 304N stainless steel.
The lid of the kettle can be opened in two different ways: at an angle of 45 degrees, which makes it comfortable to pour water, and at an angle of 80 degrees, which makes it easy to wash the kettle.
The wide spout is comfortable for the pouring, without irritating spills. At the bottom of the kettle there is the smart component — a temperature sensor. The sensor is very precise and allows to measure the temperature that with an error of 1 degree.
On the handle there are two touch buttons controlling the boiling modes.
MiJia Smart Home Kettle uses Bluetooth 4.0 to synchronize with the smartphone.
Safety
The kettle uses the British Strix thermostat and has two levels of protection:
- power socket is protected from water;
- the kettle automatically turns off when there is no water in it.
