The MIUI fans celebrated third anniversary of the firmware and met the MIUI 6

Three years ago, in august, 16, 2011  Xiaomi One, the first smartphone of a famous China brand, was released. It was so good gadget, and the unique firmware, installed on it, was outstanding. Neither hardware, nor design can`t be in trends forever. However, the firmware, called MIUI, stays on the top during three years, and army of its fans is growing year by year.

Russian-speaking MIUI fans from miui.su community gathered gathered at a seminar on the third anniversary of the firware. China developers send to miui.su team a beta-version of the MIUI v.6.

There was no time to test the firmware, and team decides make it together with all visitors of the seminar.

First, the administrator of miui.su told about history of the site. In a three years the community of miui.su was growing to tens of thousands members and the site got many new options and features.

After that, members of community arranged a competition for prizes from Xiaomi. Earphones, T-shirts and Xiaomi’s “pokemon” MiRabbit found new owners.

Finally, visitors tested new MIUI with online participants of the seminar.

On the fans opinion, called MIUI 6 a breakthrough is a mistake. New firmware brought to testers new bugs. Firmware redesign was cosmetic in general. New icons, new desktops, new look of some apps – not enough to say about radical changes.

For those, who want fast changes, Xiaomi recommends to wait for periodical updates or new version of firmware next year.

Participants of the seminar made a list of comments to the developers of the MIUI. It mainly related to issues of resource consumption of gadgets.

The first meeting of miui.su community members was successful, as they thought. Organizers is planning new meetings.
