Updated 13.3-Inch Mi Notebook Air Features Fingerprint Sensor

The new 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air looks just like the last Mi Notebook Air with the same screen size. It comes in the exact same 14.8mm of thickness with 1.3kg of weight. All the changes should be expected under the hood.

The most exciting improvement in the new Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch is the fingerprint scanner that is placed in the upper right corner of the touchpad. It is biometric, thus is reliable and speedy. It is also said not to affect touchpad gestures.

Instead of the old Intel Core i5 processor of the sixth generation, the updated version has three processor modifications: 3.1GHz Intel Core i5-7200U chip paired with 128GB or 256GB PCI-E SSD and 3.5GHz Intel Core i7-7500U coupled with 256GB PCI-E SSD. No matter what model you choose when it comes to getting a lot of different stuff done at once all of them are expected to be all aces. The amount of RAM in all three versions is 8GB. The laptop also sports a GeForce MX150, which is better than GeForce GTX 940MX in the previous model, if we take into account its performance per watt. Rendering latest games or HD media are not going to slow Mi Air Notebook 13.3-inch down.

On top of that Xiaomi’s new ultrabook delivers on a great battery life. Thanks to a beefy 40WHr battery the notebook lasts 8 hours, which is a few hours longer than many of the laptops in the same price range. And what is more, it can top up to 50% in just half an hour!

A rare find for laptops today is the ability to charge other devices, like smartphones, tablets or Bluetooth-headsets when it is turned off. A new Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch is reported to have this function. It also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE modem, two AKG speakers with Dolby Audio technology support, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C, an SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC memory card slot, full-sized HDMI video output and 3.5 mm audio jack.
