Xiaomi Executives Met with Communist Party Leaders

The Xiaomi brand founder Lei Jun and the rest of the top-management staff had a very busy this past month not only making final preparations before the official launch of a new Mi 5X smartphone, but also meeting with very important people. At the beginning of July, Lei Jun, Liu Dee, Xiaomi’s designer, and Donovan Sang, Director of Product Management, met with the delegation from National University of Defense Technology led by its dean, Xu Hui. Members of the delegation were given a lecture on the internal structure of the company and its philosophy. After the lecture, Liu Dee and Xu Hui exchanged gifts. The visitors were deeply impressed with the company’s growth and reputation.
The dean Xu Hui noted Xiaomi’s fantastic transformation from a regular start-up to practically an opinion leader within the Chinese market. When the official part of the meeting was over, the guests visited the largest Xiaomi store, where they could buy latest and most popular Xiaomi gadgets. Shortly after that Xiaomi’s headquarters were attended by the top rungs of the Communist party of China.
The party leader highly praised Xiaomi’s bold new ideas and the financial support of the small up-and-coming companies. He also added that such non-governmental organizations as Xiaomi he sees as not only introducing innovations but also taking part it different awareness-raising activities. At the end of the meeting all the party members visited Xiaomi store to test the company’s best gadgets.
