Xiaomi Launches New Mijia Smart Smoke Purifier S20 Kitchen Range Hood

Xiaomi has expanded its line of kitchen appliances with the release of the Mijia Smart Smoke Purifier S20—a high-performance range hood that combines powerful airflow, quiet operation, and smart home integration.

The S20 features a direct air intake system that creates airflow speeds of up to 12 meters per second, effectively capturing smoke and odors before they can spread. Front and side panels help contain steam, while a built-in PM2.5 sensor monitors air quality in real time.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a brushless motor that spins at up to 120,000 RPM. With a redesigned air channel, it delivers static pressure up to 1000 Pa and a maximum airflow of 11 cubic meters per minute. Despite this performance, the noise level remains below 65 dB. The total power consumption is 165W for the motor and 3W for the built-in lighting.

One standout feature is its self-cleaning oil separation system, which captures up to 90% of grease particles and eliminates 95% of odors during standard operation—eliminating the need for routine filter maintenance.

The purifier supports control via the Mijia app, XiaoAI voice commands, and can be set to turn on automatically when the gas stove is in use, then shut off once the air has been purified.

The range hood comes in a dark gray color with a silver glass back panel. Its dimensions are 895 × 427 × 903 mm, and it weighs 26 kg (57 lbs).

Currently, the Mijia Smart Smoke Purifier S20 is available on the Chinese market at an estimated price of around $360.
